RE/MAX not closing

Owners of RE/MAX Gulfstream Real Estate at 401 Manatee Ave. in Holmes Beach along with the sales associates are anxious to clear up any discrepancy about the for sale sign in front of the building. The company isn’t closings its office or leaving Anna Maria Island.

The building is only for sale or lease, said RE/MAX owner Ron Travis. The site was originally leased by RE/MAX Gulfstream, said Travis, and the company plans to either lease back space in the current building or relocate to a more suitable-size location on Anna Maria Island in the event of a sale.

RE/MAX Gulfstream is staying on Anna Maria Island, he emphasized.

He said that with six offices and 190 agents in Manatee and Sarasota counties, Gulfstream had a 2006 sales volume of $370 million, making it one of the dominant real estate companies in the area.
