Motorist alerts on Anna Maria Island this week

The Florida Department of Transportation has advised motorists of the following construction projects on Anna Maria Island Nov. 16-20 that may affect traffic.

Anna Maria: North Bay Boulevard from North Shore Drive to Hibiscus Street. The DOT project involves sidewalk construction, sign relocation and sodding. Motorists can expect temporary daily lane closures and delays Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Gulf Drive: From Spring Avenue to Pine Avenue. The project involves sidewalk construction along Gulf Drive from north of Spring Avenue to Pine Avenue. Motorists can expect temporary daily lane closures and delays Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Gulf Drive: From Willow Avenue to Pine Avenue. This project consists of milling and resurfacing, signing and pavement markings, and sidewalk work on Gulf Drive.

Pine Avenue: From Gulf Drive to Bay Drive. The project consists of milling and resurfacing, signing and pavement markings and sidewalk improvements. Motorists are advised to expect daytime delays.

Holmes Beach: East Bay Drive at the intersection of Gulf Drive. The project consists of signalization and sidewalk and pavement markings. Motorists are advised to expect daytime delays.

 Bradenton Beach: The DOT did not report any DOT projects in the city this week that may cause traffic delays.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution and observe lowered speed limits in construction areas.
