Nov. 8 is Election Day on Island

Voters from all three Island cities will go to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 8, to decide a number of issues.

In Anna Maria City, electors will choose three out of four candidates for city commission. On the ballot are incumbents John Quam and Dale Woodland being challenged by political newcomers Jo Ann Mattick and Christine Tollette. Polling location is at city hall, 10005 Gulf Drive.

In Bradenton Beach, electors have 13 charter amendments upon which to choose, plus a non-binding referendum question on Islandwide consolidation. Polling location is at city hall, 107 Gulf Drive N.

In Holmes Beach, voters will choose three out of four candidates for city commission, as well as the non-binding consolidation question. Incumbents Rich Bohnenberger, Don Maloney and Patrick Morton are challenged by David Zaccagnino. The city polling location is at Glora Dei Lutheran Church, 6608 Marina Drive.
