Dec. 6, 5376 Gulf Drive, Head Quarters, check. The salon received a check with insufficient funds.
Dec. 8, 500 block of 77th Street, information. A man reported that a solicitor came to his door selling books that could be donated to a hospital in St. Petersburg. The man told police he called the hospital to verify the salesman's story and was informed that the hospital has no connection with the salesman's company.
Dec. 8, 2300 block of Gulf Drive, battery. Officers assisted Bradenton Beach Police in reference to reports of a woman heard screaming. According to the report, a witness told officers he heard a woman screaming who was being hit and directed police to the woman's residence. At the residence, the woman was found to have a torn shirt and bruising on her chest. She reported that her spouse hit her when she attempted to call a cab and leave the residence. The spouse, having left the scene, was found a few blocks away and was arrested.
Dec. 9, 5400 block of Marina Drive, driver's license. A man was arrested for driving without a license. According to the report, the driver was aware his license had been suspended for a previous DUI and this was the second time he had been caught driving since the suspension.
Dec. 9, 5801 Marina Drive, assist other agency. A man concerned about his son's welfare asked officers to assist him in reaching his son. According to the report, the father attempted to call his son in Virginia and had been receiving a busy signal for the past 24 hours. According to the report, Holmes Beach police notified the local police department in Virginia and requested that officers check on the son's welfare. |
