Obituary

Lee Appling
Lee Appling, 41, of Bradenton Beach, died Dec. 25.

Born in the Panama Canal Zone, Mr. Appling came to Manatee County from McAllen, Texas, in 1981. He was a boat builder. He was Roman Catholic.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital, 2001 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis MO 63131.

He is survived by daughter Jennifer Appling-Fuller of Mesa, Ariz.; son C. D. IIII of Mesa; sister Dawn E. Greene of Bradenton Beach; parents Judy L. Martin of Bradenton Beach and Col. C.D. Jr.; and on grandchild.

Laurene Helen Petruff
Laurene Helen Petruff, 81, of Bradenton and Miami, Fla., died Dec. 26.

Born in Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Petruff moved to Miami from Clifton, N.J., in 1948. She was a former member of the Ladies of the Elk Lodge, Miami. She was a member of Visitation Catholic Church, North Miami Beach.

Private services will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. Memorial contributions may be made to Southeastern Guide Dogs Inc., 4210 77th St. E., Palmetto FL 34221.

She is survived by husband John of Miami; daughters Patricia, city attorney for Holmes Beach, and Laurene S. Delimon of San Jose, Calif.; son John of Suffolk, Va.; and sister Jeannette Sprick of Wayne, N.J.

Patricia M. Taylor
Patricia M. Taylor, 85, of Sarasota and formerly Holmes Beach, died Dec. 25.

Born in New York City, Mrs. Taylor moved to Manatee County from New Jersey in 1991. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Holmes Beach.

Services will be held at a later date. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Bradenton Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by daughter Pat Hanly of Sarasota; sons Michael and Timothy, both of Ridgewood, N.J., Peter of Sarasota and Thomas of Bradenton; and five grandchildren.
