Bradenton Beach

Feb. 2, 700 block Gulf Drive, warrant. Officers responded to a suspicious person call and, after investigation, determined the driver had an outstanding warrant. He was arrested.

Feb. 8, Bridge Street and Church Avenue, criminal mischief. The complainant said that someone broke the window of her pickup truck.

Feb. 10, 2501 Gulf Drive, Sharkey’s, criminal mischief. Officers were called to escort an allegedly intoxicated patron from the establishment. The man left the restaurant.

 

Holmes Beach

Feb. 8, 5100 Gulf Drive, driver’s license. Officers stopped a motorcyclist without proper eye protection and, after a record check, determined he did not have a valid driver’s license and had an outstanding warrant. He was arrested.

Feb. 9, 6600 block Holmes Boulevard, burglary. The complainant said someone took five televisions from her home, with a total value of approximately $1,500.

Feb. 9, 4000 Gulf Drive, Manatee Public Beach, driver’s license. Officers noted a vehicle with loud music coming from its stereo system and, after stopping the vehicle and running a record check, noted that the driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and did not have a valid driver’s license. He was arrested. 

Feb. 9, 100 block 78th Street, burglary. The complainant said that someone took a television and DVD player from his rental property, with a total value of $250.

Feb. 10, 4000 Gulf Drive, Manatee Public Beach, trespass. Officers issued a trespass warning to a man described as intoxicated, according to the report.

Feb. 11, 200 block 44th Street, burglary of vehicle. The complainant said someone took his wallet from his vehicle. Missing were credit cards, personal items and $50.

Feb. 12, 5400 Marina Drive, loitering, obstruction. Officers observed a woman attempting to remove a bicycle from a rack, with another woman in a car parked next to the rack. Officers confronted the woman by the bike; the other woman in the car got out and walked away. She returned to the scene as requested by officers, but another passenger in the car ran from the vehicle and jumped into the water and began swimming out into Anna Maria Sound. Fire/rescue boats were called to the scene, but the man was not located.

Feb. 13, 400 block 76th Street, animal. Officers responded to reports of a dog at large. Animal control was contacted, as was the dog’s owner, who secured the animal. Code enforcement was later contacted to deal with the matter.

Feb. 13, 700 block Key Royale Drive, assist. Officers responded to a call of a boat which broke moorings and crashed into a dock. Marine units towed the damaged boat to a city dock.
