Transient sex offender in Bradenton Beach

Bradenton Beach gained another sex offender last week when a woman convicted of a sex offense in Ohio moved to the city.

But the offender apparently does not plan to live in Bradenton Beach for very long.

The 38-year-old woman reported to the FDLE she would be living in the 2200 block of Gulf Drive North, but said the address was temporary. The woman’s permanent home is in Thornville, Ohio.

She was convicted in 2007 in Ohio of two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. She has since been released from probation, but is required to report any address change to both Ohio authorities and any state to which she moves.

Bradenton Beach now has three convicted sex offenders living within the city, while two convicted sex offenders reside in the Cortez area.

There are no convicted sex offenders living in Anna Maria, according to the FDLE Web site, while two reside in Holmes Beach, one on Flotilla Drive and the second on Key Royale.

The FDLE also lists a convicted sex offender living in the 9100 block of Kingston Road in Coral Park, adjacent to the Mount Vernon subdivision off Cortez Road West, and another in the Palma Sola area in the 900 block of 82nd Street West.

All of the individuals reported above have been released from probation, according to the FDLE Web site.

Information on sex offenders registered with the FDLE can be found at www.fdle.state.fl.us. A link is provided at The Islander Web site, www.islander.org, under community links.
