Burglary victims asked to claim items
The Manatee County Sherriff’s Office will be holding a property showing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 24-27 in front of its property and evidence office, 600 U.S. 301 Blvd. W., Bradenton.
On April 28, Manatee County deputies executed several search-and-arrest warrants in connection with a stolen property investigation. More than 400 suspected stolen items were recovered, including big-screen televisions, iPods, computers and jewelry.
Some of the property has been returned to its rightful owners, although much of it remains unclaimed. During the times listed above, burglary victims can claim their stolen property.
Victims must have a police report documenting their theft dated between Jan. 1 and April 28, and present proof of ownership of the stolen property, such as serial numbers, warranty information, receipts and credit card or bank statements.
