The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an allegation of sexual battery against a minor child in Anna Maria.

The MCSO incident report states that the MCSO and Florida Child Protective Service investigators responded to a call to the Florida Abuse Hotline on Jan. 25 in the 300 block of Poinsettia Road.

The report stated that the allegation was that “a juvenile may have committed a sexual battery against a minor child.”

The investigation is ongoing, according to MCSO.
