Manatee County workers were busy last week on the south side of Perico Island across from Harbour Isle constructing the Neal Preserve entrance and parking lot. Developer Pat Neal arranged a sale to the county in 2005 for less than the appraised value to allow construction of a nature preserve similar to the Robinson Preserve in northwest Bradenton.
