Boardwalk construction resumes

Woodruff & Sons Construction this week resumed following a short break for the July 4 holiday building the shelters at the entrance to the Anna Maria City Pier as part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s 800-foot-long boardwalk project along the shoreline at the pier. The DOT said motorists could expect intermittent flagging when driving in the construction area. The north half of the project should be completed in August, the DOT said.
