Holmes Beach man arrested for burglary

A 24-year-old Holmes Beach man faces a felony burglary charge after attempting to steal “a bunch of game tokens” from a vehicle, according to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Holmes Beach Police Department.

Erik Hall, 510 67th St., Holmes Beach, was arrested at the location of the alleged crime at 4109 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach. According to the report, a witness observed Hall get into the vehicle where police say Hall began to steal the game tokens.

The witness confronted and detained Hall until police arrived. According to the report, Hall admitted his actions.

Following his arrest, police discovered a small amount of marijuana inside a prescription pill bottle on Hall’s person and he also was charged for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Hall was booked into the Manatee County jail on the felony burglary charge and held on $5,000 bond.

He was scheduled for a July 6 arraignment.
