The Rotary Club of Anna Maria Island welcome sign at Kingfish Boat Ramp on Manatee Avenue was damaged for a second time in less than two months, according to club president Lynn Zemmer. The manatee’s fin and dolphin’s flipper were reported broken Sept. 17. It also was damaged in August. Zemmer blamed the damage on vandals and vowed to restore the sign to its original state. Any possibility of an inexpensive camera setup?
Try this: During season just leave it broken, and put a sign by it that says……THIS is why we can’t have nice things. It’s funny, and true, at the same time. Maybe the pranksters will get it…….of course, that will take an IQ above 60, and a sense of humor.
