Jeanette Cashman, 86, of Holmes Beach, died March 31.

Mrs. Cashman is survived by daughter Nancy and husband Joe Branka; sons Peter and wife Suzanne, Steve and wife Mary Jane and Paul; and five grandchildren.
Rowland Peek Shannon Sr., “Rowpeek,” 58, of Bradenton, died April 2. He was born March 30, 1956, in Bradenton to Joseph E. and Eugenia “Gene” (Raymond) Shannon.
Mr. Shannon was a lifelong resident of Bradenton, and a 1974 graduate of Manatee High School where he was senior class president. He continued his studies at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., where he majored in music.
Growing up, he helped his father at Shannon Funeral Home. He was the owner of AdSpecialties Incentives in Bradenton for many years, and later worked as an account executive for Tasco/Halo-Branded Solutions.
Mr. Shannon was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bradenton, president and founder of the Manatee County Native Club, member of the De Soto Celebration and the Manatee “100″ Club. He was a former member of the Bradenton Yacht Club and the Manatee County Historical Society. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman.
The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at Shannon Funeral Home Westview Chapel, 5610 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 7, at the chapel with interment to follow at Fogartyville Cemetery, Bradenton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Cathi (Schenk); children Rowland P. Jr., Ryan J. and Cierra E., all of Bradenton, mother Gene, brother J. Ray of Bradenton; sisters Sally and husband Bill McGill of Braselton, Ga., and Katherine Ann of Bradenton; and many extended family members and friends.
Mary Rita ‘Marita’ Shofstall
Mary Rita “Marita” Shofstall, 91, of Holmes Beach, died March 11. She was born May 5, 1922, to Florence (Boivin) and John Norton of Dearborn, Mich.
She attended the University of Michigan. On Dec. 12, 1942, she married John “Jack” D. Shofstall, an aviation cadet from Detroit, in Merced, Calif. Following his career in the service, they settled in Bradenton and, subsequently, Holmes Beach in 1973.
Mrs. Shofstall collected antiques and opened a shop in Bradenton, remaining active as an antique dealer for 30 years. She enjoyed bridge, reading and travel in the United States and abroad. Favorite places included Germany, England, Japan, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
She enjoyed being an “islander” and entertaining family and friends.
A memorial service and inurnment was held March 31 at the Sarasota National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Westminster Towers and Shores, 1533 Fourth Ave. W., Bradenton FL 34205.
Mrs. Shofstall is survived by daughters Linda Guard and Susan Busch; grandchildren Christopher Guard, Melissa Busch Putnam, Rob Busch and Meaghan Busch; great-grandchildren Jack and McKenna Guard and Abbie, Libby, Emma and Hughes Putnam; nephews David, Kevin, Scott, Drew and Sean Norton.
