Anna Maria

• June 20, 700 block of North Shore Drive, incident investigation. MSCO was dispatched to a residence for a pool emergency. On arrival, the mother said the baby had fallen in the pool, but she rescued the infant before his head went under water. EMS examined the baby and determined he did not need medical treatment.

        Anna Maria is policed by the MCSO.

Bradenton Beach

Holmes Beach

• June 29, 6800 block of Palm Drive, battery. A 36-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly grabbed a phone from a woman’s hand while she was calling 911. The phone broke on the ground. He also allegedly pushed the woman, who was holding a child. He was charged with hindering a person from calling 911 and battery.

• June 21, 100 block of 66th Street, abandoned vehicle. A 2003 Dodge Neon was abandoned for 10 days on the property. The owner had the vehicle towed.

• June 14, 2800 block of East Bay Drive, drug possession. A man and woman were arrested during a traffic stop after an MCSO deputy allegedly found marijuana and three Xanax pills in their car. They were pulled over for allegedly not wearing seatbelts. The deputy observed several open beers in the car and conducted a search, which turned up a plastic bag containing the pills. Both subjects were taken to Manatee County jail.
