Anna Maria

Aug. 9, Bortell’s Lounge, 10002 Gulf Drive, trespass. A man allegedly intoxicated and making rude remarks to patrons was issued a trespass warning.

Anna Maria is policed by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Bradenton Beach

Aug. 13, Gulf Drive Cafe, 900 Gulf Drive N., theft. A restaurant manager went to the Bradenton Beach police station with a bag containing 375 grams of marijuana. Paperwork in the bag identified a person who police learned had left for a job at a marijuana farm in Colorado. BBPD placed the bag in evidence.

Aug. 16, Coquina Park, 1600 Gulf Drive S., trespass. Two men and a woman were trespassed at about 2 p.m. Police had observed the woman with one of the men, drinking beer in the park in a golf cart in violation of city and county ordinances. Another man told police the golf cart belonged to someone in Cortez and BBPD arranged for the golf cart to be towed.

Bradenton Beach is policed by the BBPD.

 

Cortez

Aug. 3, Tide Tables Restaurant, 12507 Cortez Road W., animal bite. A 10-pound dog allegedly bit a juvenile. An MCSO deputy responded, observed a small bruise and called Manatee County Animal Services. An animal control officer told the deputy the department does not report on animal bites when no blood is drawn.

Cortez is policed by the MCSO.

 

Holmes Beach

Aug. 6, 7900 block of Gulf Drive, warrant. A passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation was arrested on a warrant from Pinellas County.

Aug. 6, 4800 block of Gulf Drive, theft. A man reported a stolen green Trek X-Caliber bicycle, valued at $350. Last seen the day before, the man told police the bike had been left near an open garage door. HBPD listed the theft in the state database.

Aug. 6, Anchor Inn, 3007 Gulf Drive, overdose. HBPD officers responded to a report of two unresponsive females lying in the bar parking lot. A 911 caller told police they were suffering from a heroin overdose. EMS arrived, administered Narcan and transported them to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton.

Aug. 9, Publix Super Market, 3900 E. Bay Drive, theft/trespass/warrant. Two men were arrested for theft and issued trespass warnings after a manager reported they stole food from the store. One man allegedly ate food in the store valued at $16 and walked out without paying. An outstanding warrant from Manatee County was served on the other man, who allegedly confessed to stealing from Publix because he was hungry. Both were transported to the Manatee County jail.
