Anna Maria

Feb. 26, 501 Pine Ave., found property. A gold ring was left on a jewelry counter by a woman who had tried on rings at the specialty store. The clerk gave the ring to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Bradenton Beach

March 3, 135 Bridge St., towed vehicle. A blue scooter in front of the Bridge Tender Inn & Dockside Bar with an incorrect tag was towed.

Holmes Beach

March 3, Manatee Public Beach, 4000 Gulf Drive, theft. A beach bag containing car keys and clothes left near a blanket was taken. Holmes Beach police found the bag near the Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe with the help of a Manatee County maintenance worker and the owner retrieved it.

March 4, 5300 Gulf Drive, alcohol violation. Holmes Beach police observed an 18-year-old woman possessing an open can of beer and cited her for consuming alcohol in public against a city ordinance.

March 4, Manatee Public Beach, 4000 Gulf Drive, alcohol violation. A 30-year-old male was cited for violating the city ordinance against public alcohol consumption after he was observed with beer bottles around him and drinking beer from a cup.

March 4, The Doctor’s Office, 5312 Holmes Blvd., Unit B, noise. A police officer warned the manager for letting noise out of the bar. The bar’s front door had been propped open.

March 5, 500 block of 56th Street, suspicious circumstances. HBPD responded to a vandalism complaint and found an SUV with a broken window. The officer was unable to determine how the damage occurred.

March 5, 7400 block of Gulf Drive on the beach, alcohol violation. Manatee County sheriff’s deputies on an ATV patrol advised an HBPD officer that they’d observed a 20-year-old man consuming alcohol on the beach. HBPD cited the man for an ordinance violation.

March 7, Manatee Public Beach, 4000 Gulf Drive, alcohol violation. Two Holmes Beach officers observed three men pour cans of beer into cups. The officers explained the city ordinance against consuming alcohol on the beach and issued citations.

March 7, Manatee Public Beach, 4000 Gulf Drive, alcohol violation. Police observed two men walking from the volleyball court to the lifeguard stand. They were informed of alcohol violations and issued citations. The beer went in the trash.
