5300 block Sunrise Lane, burglary. The complainant said someone took various items from his boat, including various fishing licenses, a GPS unit and $120.
May 10, 700 block of Manatee Avenue, fraud. Officers observed a man run a red light at Manatee Avenue and East Bay Drive and, after stopping him, it was determined that he had outstanding warrants for writing fraudulent checks. He was arrested.
May 11, 3700 block Gulf Drive, theft. The complainant said someone took tools from his pickup truck.
May 11, 4700 Gulf Drive, driver’s license. Officers observed a car pass another in a non-passing zone. The driver said she had a suspended license; computer checks revealed she is a habitual traffic offender. Her license was revoked. She was arrested.
May 12, 220 block Gulf Drive, theft. The complainant said someone took her purse from her unlocked car. The purse contained identification and $50.
May 12, 200 block 75th Street, theft. The complainant said that the son of a friend was staying at her house and, when she returned home, she discovered jewelry was missing. It was determined that another man had also stayed in the house, according to the report, and it was believed that he took the jewelry.
May 12, 200 block 75th Street, attempted burglary. The complainant said someone apparently attempted to gain entry to their house. A window was damaged, but no entry appeared evident and nothing appeared to have been taken.
May 13, 6800 block Holmes Boulevard, criminal mischief. The complainant said someone had pulled up all of his landscape lighting and strewn his rocks around the area. It was estimated that four lights were taken.
May 13, 200 block 75th Street, theft. The complainant said that someone took a GPS unit and two fishing rods from his boat on a trailer in front of his house.
May 14, 100 block 39th Street, burglary. The complainant said that someone burglarized her vehicle May 11 while she was loading it with items to go to her home in Tampa. Missing was a bag with a laptop computer, Nintendo system and cell-phone charger.
May 14, 100 block 39th Street, trespass warning. Officers were dispatched to a call of a suspicious person, who was found sleeping in his car after allegedly trespassing in one of the resort units. He was issued a trespass warning.
May 14, 500 block 67th Street, theft. The complainant said that someone took four bicycles from his front porch. Officers located one bicycle. |
