Richard 'Rick' Becker
Richard "Rick" Becker, 50, of Holmes Beach, died July 11.
Born in Chicago, Ill., Mr. Becker came to Manatee County from there in 1979. He was the owner of RB Framing Inc. He was a carpenter.
Memorial services were July 13 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Holmes Beach. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by wife Dee; son Jacob and wife Courtney; father Dr. Samuel; brother David and wife Judy; sisters Candice Flemming and husband Timothy, Dona Stackpole and husband Jim; grandson Maison; and many nieces and nephews.
Vinette Elsie Borgstrom Kaiser
Vinette Elsie Borgstrom Kaiser, 97, of Bradenton Beach and formerly Holmes Beach, died July 9.
Born in Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Kaiser moved to Anna Maria Island 40 years ago. She was a graduate of Calumet High School in Chicago. She was an avid bridge player and crossworder.
Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at Roser Memorial Community Church, 512 Pine Ave., Anna Maria. Memorial contributions may be made to the church, P.O. Box 248, Anna Maria FL 34216, or to Anna Maria Care, 2202 Ave. B, Bradenton Beach FL 34217.
She is survived by two children; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mary Frances Reese
Mary Frances Reese, 58, of Holmes Beach, died July 11.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Mrs. Reese came to Anna Maria Island to visit her grandparents in 1958, and was a regular visitor until moving to Holmes Beach from Alexandria, Va., in 1999. She was a patent and trademark researcher. She was an avid reader.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Roser Memorial Community Church, 501 Pine Ave., Anna Maria. The service will be followed by a celebration of life, open to family and friends, at Ooh La La! Bistro, 5406 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Island Branch Library, 5701 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach FL 34217.
She is survived by daughters Cynthia and Patricia, both of Holmes Beach; sons Michael of New York City and Taylor of Richmond, Va.; sisters Kathleen Michaels and husband Bill of St. Petersburg, and Cynthia Rozamus of Red Lodge, Mont.; mother Jeanne Rozamus of Holmes Beach; grandchildren Tayson, Senna and Ava; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. |
