Josephine ‘Josie’ Kurowski
Josephine “Josie” Kurowski, 88, of Bradenton Beach, died June 24, 2007.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Ms. Kurowski came to Manatee County from Holly Hill.

She is survived by daughters Audrey Young of Ormand Beach, and Patricia Ann Schmook of Cleveland; grandchildren Lisa Marie Phillips of Bradenton Beach, Darren Sapienza, Kevin Schmook and Eric Schmook; and eight great-grandchildren.
Suzanne Robson Smith
Suzanne Robson Smith, 65, of Dunedin and formerly Anna Maria Island, died June 24.
Born in Tampa, Mrs. Smith moved to Anna Maria Island with her family during World War II. She was a licensed clinical social worker and was on the staff of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, and active in mentoring through her church. She was a graduate of Anna Maria Elementary School and Manatee High School, attended Florida State University, and received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of South Florida.
Memorial services were June 30 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Clearwater.
She is survived by husband Elwyn, first husband William Eugene Page III; sons William Eugene Page IV, of Micanopy, Fla., and Edwin Robson Page, of Roanoke, Va.; sister Judith Robson Holly of West Palm Beach; grandchildren William Eugene Page V and Carter Elizabeth Page, both of Micanopy, and Maisie Waters Page and Owen Waters Page, both of Roanoke; and aunt Evelyn Robson Stelmat of Belleair.
Dorothy Balis Willis
Dorothy Balis Willis, 91, of Bradenton, died June 27.
Born in Bradenton, Mrs. Willis was a cellist in the Florida West Coast Symphony. She was a member of the Bradenton Country Club.
Memorial services were June 20. Memorial contributions may be made to the Willis Elementary School Music Fund, 14705 the Masters Ave., Bradenton FL 34202. Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 43rd Street Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by daughters Pauline Clum and Mary Jo, both of Bradenton, and Barbara Center and husband Dan of Tampa; son Robert Jr. of Holmes Beach; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. |
