Aug. 6, 400 block 62nd Street, burglary. The complainant said someone broke the front window of the residence, but apparently did not take anything.
Aug. 7, 500 block 77th Street, criminal mischief. The complainant said someone smashed his mailbox with a stick.
Aug. 8, 6200 Flotilla Drive, theft. The complainant said someone took his bicycle from the carport of a friend’s house.
Aug. 8, 3000 block Gulf Drive, battery. The complainant went to the police department to report that her live-in boyfriend had beaten her. Officers took her affidavit, then went to the Anchor Inn, where the incident occurred, and spoke to the boyfriend, who was “very intoxicated,” according to the report. He was arrested for domestic battery and taken to jail.
Aug. 9, 500 block 74th Street, warrants. Police received an anonymous call that a woman had numerous warrants for her arrest and, after confirmation, arrested her and she was transported to jail.
Aug. 9, 3602 E. Bay Drive, Beach Unlimited, burglary. The person cleaning the parking lot called police to report a broken window at the business. The store owner said that approximately 20 pairs of sunglasses, valued at about $400, appeared to have been taken.
