Pirates help center score

The Pittsburgh Pirates came March 11 to the Anna Maria Island Community Center, 407 Magnolia Ave., Anna Maria, to dedicate a new scoreboard on the baseball-soccer fields.

The Pirates Charities awarded a matching grant to the center to replace the old scoreboard. Jackson Hayes, a young player in the center’s spring baseball league, raised the most money to match the center’s sign grant.

Super Bowl contests end another season of flag football

The NFL flag football season at the Anna Maria Island Community Center came to a close March 18 with an award ceremony for individual achievements followed by Super Bowl contests March 21-22.

Andrew Zink brought home the sportsmanship award in the 14-17 division, while Carolyn Cullinan won the female MVP. Jack Shinn was offensive MVP and Joe Andruzzi captured the division defensive MVP.

Anni Walter earned the sportsmanship award in the 11-13 division, while Hannah McCracken brought home the female MVP trophy. Jake Ross grabbed offensive MVP and Jean-Paul Russo earned defensive MVP honors.

The sportsmanship honors in the 8-10 division went to Daniel Sentman, while Ava Zink earned the female MVP award. Jackson Hayes captured offensive MVP honors, while Bears’ teammate Tuna McCracken brought home the defensive MVP trophy.

Two of the three Super Bowl contests in the youth divisions were blowouts, very much like most NFL Super Bowls. The 8-10 division championship game, however was an exciting back-and-forth affair between Coastal Orthopedic Bears and Tyler’s Ice Cream Vikings.

The game started out defensive, but that changed at the 10-minute mark when Bears’ quarterback Gavin Johnston connected on a screen pass to Jackson Hayes, who outran the defense to complete a 25-yard catch-and-run play and give the Bears a 6-0 lead.

Undaunted, the Vikings came right back to tie the score 6-6 when Nathan Costello hit Noah Costello with a 15-yard touchdown pass.

The Vikings then took a 12-6 lead on a 35-yard touchdown run by Noah Costello, but Johnston hit Evan Christenson with a 20-yard touchdown pass to tie the score. He then connected with Maddie Rogers on the extra-point pass to give the Bears a 13-12 halftime lead.

Nathan Costello hooked up with Noah Costello on a long touchdown pass and following the extra-point catch by Zach Quinn, the Vikings led 19-13.

Late in the game, Hayes took a handoff and swept around left end. He outran Viking defenders to midfield where he reversed field and outran everyone down the right sideline to complete a 45-yard touchdown run and tie the score at 19-19 with just over two minutes left to play. Johnston calmly hit Rogers with the extra-point pass to give the Bears a 20-19 lead.

The Vikings took over on offense with 1:50 left to play. Nathan Costello gained 16 yards on a first-down run, but his second-down pass attempt was knocked down by Bears defender Johnston. Facing a third down and short situation, Nathan Costello tried a short pass over the middle, but Hayes jumped the route and knocked down the pass to take over on downs with 1:27 left to play.

The Vikings held the Bears in check on first and second down, but on third and 14 yards to go, Hayes again got loose up the right side for a 15-yard gain and a first down allowing the Bears to run out the clock to complete a 20-19 victory.

Holy Cow Cardinals earned an easy 36-12 victory over Lobstahs Buccaneers in the 11-13 Super Bowl behind a strong performance from quarterback Joey Stewart. Stewart completed 22 passes, including four touchdown passes while also running for a touchdown of his own. Trent Boring caught seven passes, including two for touchdowns and an extra point, while Devon Jones scored a touchdown, an extra point and a two-point conversion among his six receptions. Tyler Pearson completed the scoring with a touchdown reception and a pair of extra-point catches.

Joe Rogers led the Buccaneers’ offense with 17 completions including two for touchdowns. Jean-Paul Russo and Rutger Langley were the recipients to complete the scoring for the runner-up Buccanners.

Integrity Sound Falcons earned a 32-13 victory over Walter & Associates Bears to win the 14-17 Super Bowl. Joey Carder completed 20 passes, including four touchdown passes to lead the way. Joe Andruzzi caught seven balls, including all four touchdown passes, while Kyle Meggison caught a game-high nine passes, including one for an extra point. Four touchdowns went to Brent Moss, who finished with nine catches for 160 yards, including a pair of extra points. Jonathan Moss added six receptions for 96 yards, including two touchdowns and an extra point. Ben Kirby rounded out the scoring with an interception return for a touchdown.

Other members of the Super Bowl champs include Josh Rio, Greg Ross, Amy Ross and Leslie Rio.

Center volleyball crowns champion

The Anna Maria Island Community Center adult coed volleyball league season came to a close Feb. 26 with playoffs and a championship game. With three teams tied at 5-4, the regular season was both balanced and competitive.

Island Real Estate lived up to its No. 1 seed, sweeping the championship over Tyler’s Ice Cream 25-20, 25-17. Setter Leah Purvis directed the IRE offense and finished with 12 assists and seven service winners. Ryan Moss paced IRE with seven kills and two sevice aces in the two games. Don Purvis added five kills, while Emily Moss chipped in two kills.

Mark Templeton and Tyler Bekkerus led Tyler’s with five kills each, while Larry Berkery finished with four kills in the loss.

Tyler’s Ice Cream advanced to the championship match by defeating Duncan Real Estate 25-12, 25-27, 25-17 in the semifinals earlier in the evening. Bekkerus, Berkery and Templeton each finished with seven kills with Berkery adding two blocks.

Duncan Real Estate was led by Mark Pennell’s nine kills, while Ed Moss chipped in with three kills and Michelle Laade finished with seven assists in the loss.

IRE advanced to the finals with a 25-13, 25-20 victory over Lobstahs in the first matchup of the evening. Don Purvis closed the first game with eight consecutive service winners and finished with five kills to lead IRE. Mike Bugel and Mackenzie Kosfeld paced Lobstahs with four kills each in the loss.

Flag football playoff seeds set

The regular season of the NFL Flag Football league at the center has come to a close and a second season —  playoffs — has begun.

LPAC Cardinals earned top seed in the 8-10 division thanks to a Feb. 27win by Tyler’s Ice Cream Vikings over Lobstahs Browns 33-13. The Browns loss lifted LPAC Cardinals into first place, while Lobstahs had to settle for second seed. Coastal Orthopedic Bears earned the third seed, while Tyler’s Ice Cream grabbed fourth seed. Miller Electric Chargers, Manatee Cancer Center Dolphins, Air & Energy Jets and Beach Bistro Buccaneers round out the final standings for the 8-10 division.

The first round of the playoffs came March 2, but there were no upsets and the top four seeds held serve easily. LPAC Cardinals shutout Beach Bistro Buccaneers 18-0, while Lobstahs Browns blew away Air & Energy Jets 25-6. Coastal Orthopedic Bears eased past Manatee Cancer Center Dolphins 18-12, while Tyler’s Ice Cream Vikings defeated Miller Electric Chargers 18-6.

Top-seeded LPAC will take on fourth-seed Tyler’s Ice Cream March 5 after press time for The Islander. That game is preceded at 6 p.m. by No. 2 Lobstahs against Coastal Orthopedic.

Holy Cow Cardinals wrapped up the top seed and earned a bye in the 11-13 division thanks to an earlier victory over second-place Ross Built Dolphins. Lobstahs Buccaneers grabbed third seed, while the high-scoring Beach Bum Ravens took fourth seed. Eat Here Colts, Walter & Associates Bears and Edgewater Jaguars followed in the season standings.

The seedings pretty much held in the 11-13 division as Ross Built obliterated seventh seed Edgewater Realty and Lobstahs shutout Walter & Associates 34-0. The only minor upset saw No. 5 Eat Here Colts outlast Beach Bum Ravens 34-28.

Eat Here now turns its sights to top-seed Holy Cow Cardinals, while Lobstahs takes on Ross Built. Both games were held March 4 after deadline.

The 14-17 division’s top seed was finalized when Integrity Sound Falcons rolled past West Coast Surf Shop Buccaneers 34-6 Feb. 26. Despite the loss, the Buccaneers and Falcons earned a bye into the semifinal game March 5.

Walter & Associates Bears earned the third seed, while Lobstahs Colts finished fourth. Eat Here Packers and Beach to Bay Construction Browns followed in the season standings.

Both opening round games were competitive in 14-17 playoff action. No. 5 Eat Here Packers defeated number four seed Lobstahs Colts 33-27, while Walter & Associates Bears edged Beach to Bay Construction Browns 20-15.

Eat Here now takes on Integrity Sound March 4, while Walter & Associates takes on West Coast Surf Shop on March 5.

Look for the winners for the Super Bowl staging in next week’s report.

Key Royale golfer dominates third hole

Another busy week for golfers at Key Royale Club was highlighted by a hole-in-one by John Sagert Feb. 27. Sagert aced the 146-yard, third hole using his driver. Sagert aced the same hole back in October 2007.

The women of Key Royale Club hosted a charity event Feb. 19 with Mote Marine Laboratory Animal Hospital being the benificiary.

Mary Selby and Judy Ward co-chaired the event the prospered with a large, hard-working committee. Through hole sponsors, a silent auction and a very generous donation by Bob and Carol Carter helped raise more than $10,000 for the hospital.

The Key Royale men also volunteered time to help the cause, while Chef Robert and staff served up a delectable luncheon to follow the play.

The team of Marcia O’Brien, Penny Auch, Donna Karycki and Sandy Burreill took first place in the tournament, but the real winner, said Selby, is the animal hospital.

The men’s handicap club championship matches continued with several second-round matches completed last week. Jim Auch, Dale Hudson, Barry Izzard, Fred Miller, Mike Selby, John Cassese and Larry Pippel each earned easy victories to advance to the next round, while Vince Mercadante slipped past Neal Hammer by one hole.

Next week, Izzard takes on Selby, Miller plays Mercandate, Hudson plays Pippel and Auch takes on Cassese.

In regular golf action, club members played a nine-hole handicap scramble March 1. The team of Ron Robinson, Mary Martin, Mary Ann Kammerlin and Carl Voyles combined on a 14-under-par 18 to grab first place by two strokes over Sandy Burrell, Joan Parrish, Matt Behan and Tom Lewis.

The members teamed up again Feb. 28 for another scramble. The team of Laura Purcell, Hoyt Miller, John Estok and Ken Rickett matched the 2-unde-par 30 carded by John Purcell, Gary Eisner, Tom Nelson and Tom McDonnell to finish in a tie for first place.

The men played an 18-hole two-best-balls-of-foursome match on Feb. 27. The team of Dick Eichorn, Pete Weir, Charlie Yole and Tom Lewis combined to card a 28-under-par 100 to take first place. Four shots back in second place was the team of Andy Barber, Matt Fuenfschilling and Marty Golden. The team of Pieter Thomassen, Neil Hammer, Danny Hayes and Bill Gallgher was alone in third place at 20-under 108.

The men played a nine-hole low-net-of-partners match Feb. 25. Jim Auch and Charlie Knopp combined on a 7-under-par 57 to earn a one-shot victory over Earl Huntzinger and Vince Mercadante.

Adult flag football closes in on season

The co-ed flag football season at the Anna Maria Island Community Center is in its final week with some important games ahead to decide the all-important seeding for playoffs.

In the AFC, Island Sun Bills, Florida Discount Sign Colts and Southern Green Seahawks all have 5-2 records and a loss could make their path to the Super Bowl much more difficult.

It’s the same in the NFC, where Sato Real Estate Browns, Waterfront Restaurant Dolphins and Duffy’s Tavern Raiders also have 5-2 records.

There were some exciting games played last week, including the opening game Feb. 21 that saw BY Construction Bears edge Duncan Real Estate Cardinals 34-27. Other scores from the evening include Waterfront Restaurant Dolphins defeating Lobstahs Lions 33-18, Tyler’s Ice Cream Vikings over Florida Discount Signs Colts 31-12, and Duffy’s Tavern Raiders over the Sun Bills 42-29.

Feb. 20 action saw Sato Real Estate Browns stay atop the NFC thanks to a 33-20 victory over Beach to Bay Construction Ravens, but the game of the week was Agnelli Pool & Spa Giants vs. Harrington House Buccaneers 55-41 with three defensive touchdowns. Caleb Roberts led the way with three interceptions including two that he “took to the house,” while Pat Calvery added one interception return for a touchdown to his team-high five flag pulls.

The Giants also scored some points on offense behind a good all-around game from quarterback Tim Shaughnessy. He completed 12 of 16 passes for 179 yards and four touchdown passes, while also rushing for 71 yards. Frank Agnelli was his favorite receiver, finishing with six catches for 96 yards, including two touchdowns, two extra points and a two-point conversion. Calvary also scored two touchdowns and finished with 58 receiving yards and 40 rushing yards. Brianna Shaughnessy completed the scoring for the Giants with a touchdown and extra-point receptions.

Richard Fosmore threw for 262 yards and five touchdown passes to lead a potent Buccaneer offense, but also got picked off four times in the game. Three touchdown passes went to Brandon Kern, who finished with four catches for 104 yards. Max Garza added four catches for 66 yards and two, two-point conversions, while Todd Keiser finished with 30 receiving yards and one touchdown in the loss.

Kern and Matt Dwyer each had an interception on defense, while Garza led the Bucs with three flag pulls.

The youth football league at the center is heading into its final week with some seeds to be determined.

The 14-17 division’s top seed seems certain with Integrity Sound Falcons on top with a 7-1 record. West Coast Surf Shop Buccaneers at 6-3 and Lobstahs Colts at 5-3 are unlikely to overtake them.

The 8-10 division is still very close with Lobstahs Browns on top with a 7-2 record, closely followed by LPAC Cardinals and Coastal Orthopedic Bears, both of whom lost games last week. The only team certain of its seeding position is Beach Bistro Buccaneers, which has eighth seed locked up.

The 11-13 division’s top seed is pretty much guaranteed barring an upset loss by Holy Cow Cardinals against the 1-6 Walter & Associates Bears.

Holy Cow defeated Ross Built Dolphins 27-20 on Feb. 20 to lock up the top seed, possibly providing a preview to the March 22 Super Bowl.

Joey Stewart completed 17 of 26 passes, including four touchdown passes to lead the Cardinals. Tyler Pearson caught eight passes, producing two touchdowns and three extra points. Bathie Thiam and Devon Jones both had touchdown receptions to complete the Cardinal scoring.

Stewart, Trent Boring and Thiam each had four flag pulls to lead the Cardinal defense.

Ross Built was led by Jake Ross, who ran for a touchdown while also adding a touchdown reception and a two-point conversion.

Andrew Ross paced the Dolphin defense with five flag pulls, while Jake Ross added an interception to go along with four flag pulls in the loss.

Eat Here Packers showed teams in the 14-17 division that they can’t be overlooked by defeating second-place West Coast Surf Shop Buccaneers 46-36 Feb. 19.

Cody Tsai completed 21 of 34 passes, including six for touchdowns to lead the fifth-seeded Packers. Brad Duffman was his favorite target, hauling in 11 passes — three for touchdowns. Pearce Hogan added two touchdown receptions, while Thomas Powers had seven catches, one for a touchdown and three extra points.

Duffman led the Packer defense with nine flag pulls and an interception return for a touchdown, while Tsai added six pulls and an interception.

Tony Sperduto led the Buccaneers with six catches, including four for touchdowns, while Mikey Ellsworth added five catches and one touchdown. Zach Stewart threw three touchdown passes among his 14 pass completions, while Jack Shinn completed four of five passes, including one for a touchdown in the loss.

Sperduto had two interceptions and Stewart added one to lead the Buccaneer defense, which also received four flag pulls from Shinn.

Lobstahs Browns made a statement heading into the playoffs that perhaps they’re the team to beat in the 8-10 division after rolling past the 7-3 Coastal Orthopedic Bears 36-20 Feb. 20.

Quarterback Nathan Hyman ran for one touchdown, while completing 12 passes for four touchdowns. Jack Barnes was his favorite target, finishing with six catches, including two touchdowns, an extra point and a 2-point conversion. Morgan Horesh added a touchdown and an extra point, while Roman Langley completed the scoring with a touchdown reception.

Jackson Hayes provided all of the offense for the Bears, running for two touchdowns and hauling in a pass from Tuna McCracken for a touchdown.

Key Royale golf news

The winners of the round of golf were Penny Auch, Marcie O’Brien, Donna Karyck and Sandy Burrill.

NFL leagues log look to playoffs

Teams in the Anna Maria Island Community Center NFL flag football leagues moved closer to their second season — playoffs — last week.

With only a few weeks to go before the “win or go home” playoffs, teams are jockeying for seeding position and hoping for favorable matchups.

Integrity Sound continues to lead the 14-17 division with a 7-1 record, but the 6-2 West Coast Surf Shop Buccaneers are on their heels, closely followed by the 5-3 Lobstahs Colts and the 4-4 Walter & Associates Bears. Eat Here Packers and Beach to Bay Construction Browns follow in the 14-17 standings.

Ross Built Dolphins are 8-0 and threatening to run away with the top seed in the 11-13 division. Holy Cow Cardinals follow in second place with a 5-1 record, while Lobstahs Buccaneers are in third place with a 4-4 record. The high-scoring Beach Bums Ravens, Mr. Bones Colts, Walter & Associates Bears and Edgewater Realty Jaguars follow in the standings.

The 8-10 division continues to be a log jam with three teams battling for top seed. Coastal Orthopedic Bears lead at 7-2, but LPAC Cardinals and Lobstahs Browns aren’t far behind at 6-2. Miller Electric Chargers and Tyler’s Ice Cream Vikings are 4-4 with Manatee Cancer Center Dolphins, Air & Energy Jets and Beach Bistro Buccaneers bringing up the back end of the 8-10 standings.

Island NFL league plays on, KRC championship pared to 2

It was another great week for Anna Maria Island Community Center NFL Flag Football. LPAC Cardinals continues to lead the 8-10 division after rolling past previously undefeated Coastal Orthopedic Bears by a 47-12 score. Coastal remains in second place with a 5-2 record, but Lobstahs Browns, Miller Electric Chargers and Tyler’s Ice Cream Vikings all have four victories, so anything can happen.

Daniel Fritz set the tone for the Cardinals early in the game when he took a handoff from quarterback Sean Rodriguez and took off on a 45-yard touchdown run. It was all Cardinals from there as they rolled to an easy victory.

Rodriguez was 10 for 13 passing, including five touchdown passes to key the victory. Cole Pearson was his favorite target, catching five passes — three for touchdowns — while adding a rushing touchdown. Eli Heskin added two touchdown receptions and three flag pulls and an interception on defense. Pearson added two pulls and an interception, while William Batey finished with one flag pull in the victory.

Tuna McCracken got the Bears on the scoreboard when he hit Gavin Johnston for a 40-yard touchdown pass. Jackson Hayes added a touchdown run to complete the Bears’ scoring, while also contributing eight flag pulls and an interception on defense.

The 11-13 division continues to be led by Ross Built Dolphins at 6-0. But Lobstahs Buccaneers and Holy Cow Ice Cream aren’t going away as both are 4-1 and within striking distance.

Ross Built took on winless Mr. Bones Colts Feb. 9 and came away with a 32-19 victory. Jake Ross had a huge game, accounting for all of the Dolphins scoring, tallying five touchdowns on offense while also grabbing an interception and “taking it to the house” for another TD. Other defensive standouts were Brendan Murphy, leading the team with five flag pulls and Hannah McCracken, finishing with four flag pulls, including a quarterback sack.

Leo Tilelli paced Mr. Bones Colts with a touchdown on offense and a interception return for a touchdown on defense. Michael Latimer had a big game defensively, tallying eight flag pulls and grabbing two interceptions. Latimer also added a touchdown on offense for the Colts.

The 14-17 division is heating up with West Coast Surf Shop Buccaneers dropping from the ranks of the unbeaten and falling out of first place. Integrity Sound now sits atop the standings with a 6-1 record, but the Buccaneers are right on their heels at 5-1. Lobstahs Colts and Walter & Associates Bears follow in the standings with three wins each.

Walter & Associates Bears knocked off previously undefeated West Coast Surf Shop Buccaneers 20-19 in the 14-17 division game of the week. Quarterback Seth Walter threw two touchdown passes and Jack Walter added a touchdown pass, touchdown reception and an extra point to lead the Bears in the victory. Joey Harris had two touchdown receptions on offense, while also leading the defense with six flag pulls and an interception on defense.

Other defensive standouts were Seth Walter, who finished with four pulls and an interception, and Jake Rodgers and Jack Walter, who finished with four flag pulls each.

The Buccaneers were led by Zach Stewart, who finished with 14 completions and three touchdown passes in the loss. Austin Morrow had four catches, including two for touchdowns, while Tony Sperduto led the team with six catches, including a touchdown and an extra-point reception.

AMICC football league plays through Super Bowl

It was a busy week for football players in the Anna Maria Island Community Center NFL Flag Football youth league with more than 20 games played last week. A big buildup to the real, much-awaited Super Bowl cliffhanger that saw the Ravens triumph over the SF 49ers.

Closer to home, the AMICC LPAC Cardinals continued to lead the 8-10 division with a 5-0 record, just ahead of the 4-1 Coastal Orthopedic Bears. Tyler’s Ice Cream Vikings, Lobstahs Browns and Miller Electric Chargers all were at 3-2 in the standings, while Beach Bistro Buccaneers and Manatee Cancer Center Dolphins both held 1-4 records.

LPAC Cardinals showed why they’re undefeated with a 27-0 shutout victory over third-place Tyler’s Vikings. Daniel Fritz led the Cardinals with a tremendous all-around game. He completed two passes for 26 yards and a touchdown, ran for 27 yards and caught four passes for 54 yards, including a touchdown, extra point and a two-point conversion. If that wasn’t enough, Fritz also led the team with seven flag pulls and three interceptions on defense.

Sean Rodriguez added 112 passing yards to the game, including two touchdown passes and two receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown. Cole Pearson added an 8-yard touchdown run and Thomas Heckler had a 6-yard touchdown catch to round out the Cardinal scoring.

Nathan Costello passed for 38 yards and ran for another 34 yards to lead the Viking offense. Zach Quinn passed for 30 yards and added a 10-yard reception. Noah Costello rounded out the offense for the Vikings with 37 receiving yards.

Ross Built Dolphins continued to lead the 11-13 division with a 4-0 record, but Lobstahs Buccaneers were on their heels at 4-1 in the standings. Holy Cow Cardinals at 3-1 and the 2-2 Beach Bums Ravens are still in the hunt, while Walter & Associates Bears and Edgewater Realty Jaguars, both sit at 1-3. The 0-4 Mr. Bones Colts need to string some victories together to get in the race.

Beach Bums Ravens defeated Walter & Associates Bears 47-29 in the 11-13 division game of the week. Matthew Manger-Denigris completed 17 of 23 passes for 269 yards and six touchdown passes to lead the potent Ravens offense. Three of his touchdown passes went to Leo Rose, who finished with seven catches for 105 yards and Rose also added an extra point. Dylan Doyle added 32 rushing yards and three catches for 98 yards, including two touchdowns and two extra points. Ryan Doyle, with a touchdown reception, and extra points from Tory Cleland and Steele Quinard rounded out the Ravens scoring.

Rose and Dylan Doyle paced the defense with five pulls each.

Corey Jacques passed for 128 yards and three touchdown passes and snagged a 7-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Proctor to lead the Bears’ offense. Proctor also led Bears receivers with six catches for 75 yards and two touchdown receptions. Tori Walter added three receptions for 18 yards, including a touchdown and an extra point. Anthony McCance and Anni Walter completed the scoring with extra-point catches. Proctor’s six flag pulls and five pulls and a pair of interceptions by Jacques paced the Bears’ defensive effort in the loss.

West Coast Surf Shop Buccaneers took the lead in the 14-17 division with a 33-25 victory over previously undefeated Integrity Sound Falcons. Lobstahs Colts at 2-1, the 2-3 Eat Here Packers, the 1-3 Walter & Associates Bears and the 0-5 Beach to Bay Construction Browns follow in the 14-17 standings.

The Buccaneers victory over the Falcons Jan. 29 was spearheaded by a defense that received an interception return for a touchdown by Jack Shinn, an interception from Zach Stewart and four flag pulls, three sacks and a safety from Roberto Rodriguez.

Stewart paced the offense, throwing for 117 yards and three touchdowns, while also catching three passes for 55 yards and a touchdown. Shinn also had a big game offensively for the Bucs, passing for 63 yards and a touchdown and catching six passes for 53 yards and a touchdown. Mikey Ellsworth and Austin Morrow both added touchdown catches, while Ryan Tarsa completed the scoring with an extra-point catch.

Joey Carder passed for 210 yards and four touchdown passes to lead the Falcons. Joe Andruzzi was his favorite target, catching eight balls for 173 yards and three touchdowns. Denver Hardy’s 10-yard touchdown catch and an extra point from Justin Carder, who finished with 54 receiving yards, rounded out the Falcons’ scoring.

Andruzzi and Madison Driscoll each had four flag pulls and Driscoll also managed three quarterback sacks in the loss.
