Bradenton Beach

April 29, 135 Bridge St., Drift In, fight. Officers responded to a report of a fight. One of the participants left the scene, the other filed an affidavit for assault and the man was arrested. However, it was later determined that the two men had made peace, and all charges were dropped.

April 29, 200 Bay Drive S., Bridge Tender Inn, violation of probation. Officers responded to a report of a patron causing a disturbance. The suspect was observed exiting a nearby lounge and, upon questioning, it was determined that he had an outstanding warrant. He was arrested.

May 5, 800 block Gulf Drive South, disorderly intoxication. Officers responded to a call of disorderly intoxication on a transit bus. Officers detected a strong odor of alcohol on the suspect’s breath, according to the report, and during questioning told officers, “I’m leaving now, dudes. Thank you and good-bye.” Stacey Rae Tozzi, 44, of Holmes Beach, was arrested.

Holmes Beach

May 3, 200 block 69th Street, theft. The complainant said someone took two bicycles overnight from his front yard.

May 4, 4000 Gulf Drive, Manatee Public Beach, trespass. Officers noticed a man drinking beer at the beach. Officers dumped out the beer, the man became argumentative, and a record check determined he had a trespass warning from the beach. He was arrested.

May 5, 4000 Gulf Drive, Cafe on the Beach, criminal mischief, theft. The complainant said someone broke into three soda machines overnight, causing an estimated $300 in damage and taking an unknown amount of money.

May 5, 100 block 30th Street, criminal mischief, assault. Neighbors got into a dispute regarding barking dogs, with one stating he would take forceful action against his neighbor, his dogs and his vehicle if the dogs were not restrained. The dispute escalated, according to the report, and one neighbor kicked out a slat in the wooden fence separating the properties during the dispute. Officers were called, but the man who kicked the fence would not respond to officers. Assault and criminal mischief charges were filed against the alleged assailant.

May 6, 4800 block Gulf Drive, criminal mischief. The complainant said that someone poured sunscreen lotion on the paint and windows of her parked vehicle, placed charcoal briquettes on the vehicle roof and potato chips on the windshield. The complainant said that that a man came up to her to complain that she shouldn’t have parked in the driveway of his rental apartment. She said that she was the rental agent for the apartments, and the man offered $30 for cleaning the vehicle. It was later determined to cost more money to repair the damage, and police forwarded the matter to the state attorney’s office for disposition.

May 7, 400 block 42nd Street, theft. The complainant said someone took his bicycle from the front of his apartment. The green bike was valued at $300.
