Bradenton Beach

Dec. 7, 3000 Gulf Drive N., Anchor Inn, threats. A man was arrested after making threats to another patron. According to the report, the defendant also has several outstanding warrants from Illinois and is currently on probation.

Dec. 13, 100 Gulf Drive N., Circle K, retail theft. According to the report, a man stole three cartons of cigarettes from the store.

Holmes Beach

Dec. 10, 2900 block of Gulf Drive, theft. A Georgia woman reported her purse stolen from her car.

Dec. 11, 5300 block of Holmes Boulevard, driver's license. Officers received a report regarding a vehicle incorrectly parked with its brake lights on and the driver's arm hanging out the window. Upon investigation, officers reported finding the driver asleep at the wheel. A routine check determined that the driver's license had been suspended.

Dec. 13, 5306 Holmes Blvd., Island TV, theft of vehicle. A 1999 Chevrolet Blazer was reported stolen from the rear of the business where it was parked with the keys in the ignition. According to the report, two bicycles were found abandoned where the car had been parked and some of the owner's personal belongings from the car were later found discarded at the Kingfish Boat Ramp. Later that day officers received a report from Citrus County that the vehicle had been recovered in a hit-and-run crash. According to the report, the two teenage suspects in the car during the hit-and-run got away by stealing another vehicle.

Dec. 14, 3200 block of Gulf Drive, drug arrest. While on patrol, an officer reported that an anonymous person advised that someone had attempted to sell him rock cocaine. According to the report, the officer went to the residence identified in the tip and witnessed the tenant leave in his vehicle. The officer stopped the driver, Travis Cameron, 25, of Palmetto, on a routine traffic stop. Cameron was found to be in possession of .8 grams of rock cocaine and was arrested.

Dec. 14, 3700 block of East Bay Drive, driver's license. A woman was cited for driving without a license and given a warning for driving with a defective tail light.

Dec. 15, 500 block of 69th Street, burglary. A man reported items stolen from his vehicle and a boat attached to the vehicle on a trailer. Missing items include a satellite radio, cell phone, anchor, ropes and dock fender.

Dec. 15, 3901 Gulf Drive, Skinny's Restaurant, information. Officers responded to the location with Holmes Beach Code Enforcement to issue a citation for an advertising banner on the building. According to the report, code enforcement had previously notified the restaurant owners that the banner must be removed.

Dec. 16, 5346 Gulf Drive, Hurricane Hanks, theft. A woman reported that she forgot her purse inside the restaurant and it was gone when she returned to retrieve it.
