A 29-year-old Bradenton woman died after being ejected from a boat and hitting its propeller in the Intracoastal Waterway near Bradenton Beach.
Angela Casadonte was pronounced dead April 18 at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton after being pulled from the water.
She was transported by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the U.S. Coast Guard, which flew her to Blake by helicopter, according to FWC Officer Baryl Martin.
According to Martin, Casadonte was riding in a 20-foot Proline with three others when the boat hit a wave and she was thrown from the vessel.
None of the others were injured.
Martin said they were boating for pleasure, it was a calm day and there was no indication alcohol was involved.
