The arrest followed a traffic stop.
Sportelli failed field sobriety tests and then refused to provide breath samples for DUI testing, according to a police report.
She was taken to the Manatee County jail, where she was released the same day after posting $650 bond.
If convicted, punishment for a second-degree misdemeanor includes up to 60 days in jail.
