56th Street and Marina Drive, Holmes Beach: Construction tied to stormwater improvements requires a closure at the intersection and detours until the end of the month. Construction will be 7 a.m.-7 p.m. weekdays. Info: www.holmesbeachfl.org, 941-708-5800.

Cortez Bridge and Cortez Road, Cortez: Street closures are in effect at Central Avenue, 125th Court West, 124th Street Court West and 124th Street West, with traffic barriers extending just before 123rd Street Court West. The project is to be completed this fall. Bridge construction is set to begin in November. Info: amiprojects.io, 941-306-4660.

75th Street West at Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton: Construction is ongoing along 75th Street West near Manatee Avenue West as crews continue with Manatee County roadway improvements. Activities include relocating utility lines along the north side of the corridor and installing drainage systems. Construction is Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Info: mymanatee.org/75th.

 

Trolley around AMI

Manatee County Area Transit’s island trolley operates most days 6 a.m.-10:45 p.m. between Coquina Beach in Bradenton Beach and the Anna Maria City Pier in Anna Maria. Riders will find buses to the mainland at the Coquina and Manatee Public beach hubs. There is no fare on MCAT. For more, go to mymanatee.org/mcat.
