June 14, 700 block Gulf Drive North, violation of probation. Officers responded to a report of a woman in a bar that was suspected of having an outstanding warrant. She did and she was arrested.
June 14, 500 block Gulf Drive North, drugs. Officers stopped a vehicle with no visible tag light and detected the odor of marijuana in the vehicle. The juvenile driver was turned over to his parents on a juvenile referral.
June 14, 500 Manatee Avenue, aggravated assault, hit and run. Officers responded to the scene of a crash where one driver attempted to run another vehicle off the road. One driver was charged with aggravated assault with a motor vehicle. A passenger in his vehicle became comatose due to being intoxicated, according to the report, and EMS responded.
June 14, 3900 East Bay Drive, Publix, theft. The complainant said someone took her wallet while she was shopping.
June 14, 400 block 77th Street, fire bomb. Officers noticed a gas can on fire in a driveway of a residence. The resident extinguished the fire, firefighters were contacted, area residents were contacted to determine if anyone was seen in the area that may have caused the blaze.
June 14, 300 block 65th Street, theft. The complainant said that she suspected a man had taken a grill, waffle iron and damaged a decorative lizard at her home. Officers confronted the suspect, who admitted to taking the items and damaging the lizard. He was arrested.
June 16, 5300 block Sunrise Lane, burglary. The complainant said someone took the propeller and GPS system from her husband’s boat. Total value of the missing items was estimated at $2,500.
June 17, 200 block 69th Street, trespass. The complainant said he found a neighbor “just looking around” in his carport, according to the report. The neighbor was issued a trespass warning.
June 18, 600 block North Point, theft of vehicle. The complainant said someone took her 31-foot boat, valued at $247,000, from the boat hoists at her waterfront residence.
