Bradenton Beach

Sept. 14, 2200 block Avenue A, theft. The complainant said someone entered the construction job site and removed two windows, valued at $2,000.

Sept. 15, 2400 block Avenue C, theft. The complainant said someone took approximately $20 worth of loose change and money, as well as personal papers, from her unlocked vehicle.

Sept. 16, 100 block Fourth Street South, burglary. The complainant said he saw a known woman slash the tire of his bicycle, identified her to police, and she was subsequently charged with burglary and taken to jail.

Sept. 16, 200 block 24th Street, burglary. The complainant said she heard a loud noise outside her home and, when she investigated, saw a man reaching into her vehicle, take her purse and flee down the street. Officers determined the suspect broke the vehicle window with a large rock.

Sept. 17, 2500 block Avenue B, theft. The complainant said someone cut the padlock off a refrigerator in his carport and took a case of beer.

Sept. 21, 200 Bridge St., City Pier, property damage. A 30-foot sailboat was found against the south side of the city pier in heavy seas, damaging the structure. No one was on the vessel, but a cat was removed from the boat, and the vessel was eventually re-located to the Bradenton Beach Marina and the owner was being sought.

 

Holmes Beach

Sept. 15, 5410 Marina Drive, D.Coy Ducks, safety. Officers responded to a call that about 200 people were in the lounge, which is permitted to have an occupancy of 78. Officers talked to bar managers, who asked patrons to exit. Officers noted that some of the patrons appeared under age and “over served,” according to the report. Most of the patrons left the establishment.

Sept. 17, 500 block Key Royale Drive, burglary. The complainant and her landlord were involved in a dispute over an apartment, which police advised was of a civil nature.

Sept. 17, 7800 block Palm Avenue, theft. The complainant said someone took her son’s bicycle from her carport overnight.

Sept. 18, 6800 block Gulf Drive, trespass. The complainant said that someone had removed wood slats from a storage area and suspected juveniles to have been responsible for the damage, although nothing appeared to have been taken from the unit.

Sept. 18, 500 block Key Royale Drive, burglary. The complainant said someone took his new bicycle, valued at $600, from his front porch.

Sept. 18, 3400 block Gulf Drive, burglary. The complainant said someone took a $5 bill, about $5 in change, and some CDs valued at approximately $200 from his unlocked car.
