Thomas ‘Capt. Tom’ Surma
Thomas “Capt. Tom” Surma, 62, of Bradenton, died Nov. 30. He was born in Dearborn, Mich., and moved to Manatee County in 1977. He was a commercial fisherman for 25 years with A.P. Bell Fish Co.
Mr. Surma was a Christian and an avid gardener.
Visitation and services were held Dec. 4 at Covell Funeral Home, Bradenton.
Mr. Surma is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sandra; and four sisters, Pat Bell of Arizona, Claudia Warmus of Michigan, Chris Surma of North Carolina and Kathy Smith of Florida.
Elisabeth Hellebrand
Elisabeth Hellebrand, 81, of Anna Maria, died Nov. 29.
Services were to be private with burial at Fogartyville Cemetery. Arrangements were by Griffith-Cline Funeral & Cremation Service.
Mrs. Hellebrand is survived by husband Wendell; son Wendell and wife Sherry of Rootstown, Ohio; daughter Erika and husband Gene Foraker of Doylestown, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
