Oct. 31, 100 block of South Bay Boulevard, found property. A Florida license plate was found in the roadway. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office could not find the registered owner.
Nov. 7, 400 block of Alamanda Road, suspicious activity. Pins were pulled out of a front door hinge, a possible attempt to gain entry to a residence. Fingerprints and photos were taken at the scene.

Bradenton Beach
Nov. 8, 100 block of Bridge Street, battery. A fight broke out in the road between a Bradenton man and a man from Canada after the two had been drinking and arguing in a bar. After police arrived, both parties calmed down and signed a waiver of prosecution against the other.
Nov. 8, 103 Gulf Drive, trespass. A manager at Circle K reported a man passed out for almost an hour in the men’s bathroom. When police arrived and the man woke up, an officer reported he became belligerent due to a high level of intoxication. The officer advised the man of the trespass and to vacate the premises, and the man left.

Holmes Beach
Nov. 1, 3900 East Bay Drive, shoplifting. A man was observed on a surveillance video after he shopped the aisles of Publix, placing $354.75 of groceries into a cart. He walked out with the cart without paying. A manager confronted the suspect who fled on foot, leaving the cart of groceries. After police responded to the call, officers viewed the video, but did not recognize the suspect. A DVD of the video and receipt were secured into police evidence.
Nov. 1, 200 block of Haverkos Court, theft. A Florida license plate and tag decal were stolen from a vehicle parked in a driveway.
Nov. 1, 200 block of 84th Street, burglary. A home was broken into while its owners were out of town for a couple of months. Upon their return, they noticed the bulbs inside fixtures had been unscrewed and forced entry made through a bedroom window. The window screen was found removed and folded under a bed. Missing were three watches, cash, a travel clock, a small table and a book on the early years of Anna Maria Island.
Nov. 3, 500 block of 65th Street, burglary. Missing coins and damage to a rug were reported after a home was burglarized. The complainants had been out of town for about seven months.
Nov. 5, 200 block of 75th Street, burglary. Upon the complainants’ return to a residence left vacant for about two weeks, they discovered numerous items missing, including coins, a seashell on driftwood, a wood parrot and a glass bowl. Upon checking outside, police discovered hinges on a door had been pulled out, the likely point of the entry.
