Stalking suspect arrested in Holmes Beach

A Bradenton man accused of stalking a Holmes Beach woman was arrested in December.

Jessie B. Jones, 35, was arrested by the Holmes Beach Police Department Dec. 17 on the felony charge of aggravated stalking.

HBPD worked with the Longboat Key Police Department to secure Jones’ arrest after he was seen outside the victim’s Holmes Beach workplace in violation of a court order, according to an HBPD report.

Jones is alleged to have written a series of threatening messages on the victim’s Facebook between Nov. 27 and Dec. 16, also in violation of the court order, according to the HBPD report.

After he arrived for work on Longboat Key Dec. 17, LKPD transported Jones to Coquina Park where HBPD took the suspect into custody and booked him into the Manatee County jail.

Jones posted a $10,000 bond and was released.

He was assigned a public defender, who filed Jones’ not guilty plea on the charge.

His arraignment is set for 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
