Bradenton Beach police were called to a fight in progress at Ace’s Lounge in Bradenton, where they arrested a 28-year-old woman for battery to a law enforcement officer.
Ann Katzenberger, of Bradenton, allegedly shoved and kicked BBPD Officer Josh Betts after Manatee County Sheriff’s Office contacted BBPD at about 1:30 a.m. March 1 for assistance with a fight in the parking lot at the bar, 4343 Palma Sola Blvd.
According to the BBPD report, Betts ordered Katzenberger to stay in the back seat of her vehicle, but she refused. The officer allegedly used two hands on her shoulders to sit her down and Katzenberger became upset. She was belligerent and intoxicated, according to the report.
Katzenberger was taken into custody and transported to the Manatee County jail.
She posted a $1,500 bond and was released.
Katzenberger’s arraignment is at 9 a.m. Friday, April 10, at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
