Golf course damaged by late-night cart driver

The Holmes Beach Police Department investigated an estimated $500 in damages caused by a golf cart on the Key Royale Club course last week.

An HBPD officer was dispatched early March 1 to see damage to fixtures on the No. 5 and No. 7 holes.

Also, a report stated that “throughout the entire course it was observed that … a golf cart made ‘donuts’ in the grass of the greens and fairways.”

A course maintenance manager speculated that the damage occurred between midnight and 5 a.m. March 1.
