A Bradenton man who sped through Cortez in November 2014 using all lanes of traffic pleaded no contest and was found guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol — 0.15 or higher.
Twelfth Circuit Chief Judge Andrew D. Owens Jr. sentenced Adam Gomez, 35, to 12 months probation, suspended his license for six months, allowing business travel, and ordered an alcohol-detection ignition device installed in his vehicle.
According to the June 15 order, terms of his probation include attending DUI school, participating in a victim impact panel and serving 50 hours of public service.
Gomez also was ordered to pay a $1,000 court fine, $50 surcharge and a $376 DUI court cost.
Additional costs imposed were: $30 for the state, $100 for the prosecutor and public defender and $100 for the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
