A Sarasota woman was arrested for violating her probation, part of her court sentence in June for fighting with Holmes Beach police officers.
Jeanna M. Gibson, 27, was re-arrested Aug. 20 for the violation.
A court officer filed an affidavit that stated the Longboat Key Police Department arrested her June 29 for driving on a suspended driver’s license.
Gibson was appointed an assistant public defender and filed a plea Aug. 26 that denied the petition.
She is being held without bond in Manatee County jail.
A violation of probation hearing is set for Sept. 21 in the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
Gibson had faced 10 years in jail on two second-degree felonies, battery to a police officer and resisting arrest with violence, as well as a misdemeanor count of leaving the scene of a crash in Key Royale in Holmes Beach.
Twelfth Circuit Judge Diana Moreland had reserved her ruling on the charges pending a successful probation.
She also sentenced Gibson to a substance-abuse evaluation, a one-day anger management course and costs.
