Sept. 16, Anna Maria City Pier, 100 S. Bay Blvd., found property. A person found a wallet and turned it into Anna Maria City Hall. A deputy with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office found the wallet’s owner after checking with the Holmes Beach Police Department.

Bradenton Beach
Sept. 28, Bradenton Beach Marina, 402 Church Ave., vehicle burglary. A man reported his wallet stolen at the Bradenton Beach police station. He told police he’d left it in his Ford pickup unlocked in the most northern lot under Cortez Bridge while he worked at the marina the day before. The man reported he’d last seen his wallet under his steering wheel. He didn’t notice his missing wallet until the evening of Sept. 27. He’s since discovered his credit card used for unauthorized transactions.
Sept. 28, Historic Bridge Street Pier, 200 Bridge St., trespass warning. Two men were yelling at each other, causing a disturbance. They were given trespass warnings and told not to return. One of the men, holding a clear bottle containing beer, also was issued an open container violation.
Sept. 29, Coquina Park, 1700 Gulf Drive, S., vehicle burglary. A Bradenton man and Sarasota woman went to the beach, leaving a truck secured in the parking lot. They returned to find the glove box open and the woman’s purse, left underneath a seat, on top of it. They reported credit cards, a passport and Social Security card stolen from the purse.

Holmes Beach
Sept. 20, Publix Super Market, 3900 East Bay Drive, shoplifting. A man in his 40s-50s with dark blonde hair and a mustache was caught on video stealing a cart full of groceries valued at $150, including beer, meat, paper towels, toilet paper and laundry soap. HBPD checked the area and sent out an alert for the suspect.
Sept. 21, 7800 block of Gulf Drive, burglary. A couple reported a laptop computer and about $100 from a purse stolen from their kitchen while they slept. There was no sign of forced entry.
Sept. 21, Publix Super Market, 3900 E. Bay Drive, shoplifting. A 47-year-old homeless woman at the trolley station with an 18-pack of beer and a bottle of juice was arrested for theft from the grocery store and transported to the county jail. A manager reported the woman, who’d been with a man inside the store, also stole fried chicken, deli drinks, a sandwich, various dips and a box of wine. The woman allegedly gave the items to the man outside the store. Police searched but could not locate him. A total of $52.65 in groceries was stolen.
Sept. 23, 500 block of 68th Street, burglary. Jewelry valued at more than $970, a VHF radio estimated at $150, boat manuals and the registration were reported stolen. Entry was gained through the garage. Fingerprints were taken.
Sept. 24, 600 block of Concord Lane, burglary. The control panel for a home alarm system valued at $500 was stolen. There were no signs of forced entry.
Sept. 25, 200 block of 56th Street, trespass. A man called police to report unknown juveniles in a pool. When he confronted the juveniles, they fled and could not be located by police.
Sept. 25, 500 block of 77th Street, burglary. Fishing reels valued at $1,550 and 30 pounds of fish from a freezer — including grouper, red snapper and permit — were reported stolen. There was no sign of a forced entry.
