Oct. 24, 500 block of Loquat Drive, theft. Personal property valued at $300-$5,000 was stolen from a rented beach house. A forced entry was reported.

Bradenton Beach
Oct. 26, Coquina Park, 1900 Gulf Drive, S., burglary to vehicle. A smash-and-run from a vehicle in the parking lot left a woman from Illinois missing a Michael Kors purse and jewelry valued at $1,600. The woman had left the purse on the floor board. Police interviewed a witness who said a male smashed the rear window using his elbow or something in his sleeve. Police attempted to lift fingerprints and searched the area without result.
Oct. 27, 200 block of Bay Drive North, theft. A woman went to the station to report a tag stolen from her vehicle.
Oct. 28, Circle K, 2513 Gulf Drive N., theft. Caught on video, a man poured himself a lemonade from the soda dispenser, said he’d come back to pay but left. A request for his arrest was sent to the state attorney.

Cortez
Oct. 25, 12500 block of Cortez, domestic battery. A man reported being hit by his girlfriend after a verbal argument turned physical. The woman fled. Manatee County Sheriff’s Office requested a warrant for her arrest.

Holmes Beach
Oct. 18, 3900 E. Bay Drive, Publix Super Market, shoplifting. Holmes Beach Police Department responded to a call about a theft and met with a manager who told police a man left without paying for two cases of beer and a pack of steaks valued at $60. He left in a black Ford pickup with a Florida tag and a red STX decal on the back of the vehicle. HBPD checked the area, did not find the suspect. They issued a warning to Bradenton Beach because the vehicle left the store southbound.
Oct. 19, 4000 block of Gulf Drive. A man was arrested by HBPD after officers stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation and found two warrants had been issued for violations of probation for the suspect. He was transported to the Manatee County jail.
Oct. 19, 100 block of 68th Street, theft. A complainant told police two zero-gravity chairs valued at $90 each were stolen from outside his condo.
Oct. 21, 700 block of Key Royale, criminal damage to property. A man noticed a tire on his SUV was flat and, upon closer examination, saw it had been punctured by a sharp tool.
Oct. 27, 5600 block of Carissa Street, theft. Two art objects mounted to the exterior of a residence were reported stolen. A multi-colored metal fish was taken in July-August and a blue wood seahorse, glued and screwed to the wall, was stolen Oct. 23-26.
