Bradenton Beach man sentenced to probation for DUI

A Bradenton Beach man was sentenced to 12 months probation and 100 hours of community service for driving impaired and crashing into an SUV at Cortez Road and Gulf Drive. The judge reserved his ruling on restitution for the victims.

Eric Fleishman, 32, of Bradenton Beach, pleaded no contest to driving under the influence with property damage and knowingly operating a vehicle with a suspended license.

Twelfth Circuit Judge Mark Singer sentenced Fleishman Feb. 23 to probation, DUI school, a mental health evaluation and treatment, if necessary. He ordered a six-month driver’s license suspension and also required the installation of an ignition lock for six months.

Singer gave Fleishman credit for time served, allowed for a 50-hour buyout of community service hours and fined him more than $1,500.
