Bradenton man arrested for thefts

Manatee County sheriff’s investigators arrested a Bradenton man for several thefts — including three dirt bikes and an all-terrain vehicle stolen along with a 2016 cargo trailer from a storage area in Cortez.

Robert J. Hanna, 19, of Bradenton was arrested May 18 for the May 2 theft of vehicles valued at $10,000-$20,000.

He also was arrested in May for fraudulent and unauthorized purchases with a relative’s debit card.

At his first court appearance, a 12th Circuit Court judge assigned a $5,000 bond and appointed a public defender.

At press time, Hanna was in jail, pending court dates on the charges.

His arraignment on the Cortez theft is set for 9 a.m. Friday, June 17, at the Manatee County Judicial Center, 1051 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton.
