Jan. 13, 100 block of Park Avenue, information. A woman reported finding the upper barrel of a Caesar Guerini 70-guage shotgun in her closet.

Bradenton Beach
Jan. 15, 100 block of Bridge Street, alcohol violation. A Bradenton Beach officer observed a man drink a beer, leave the can behind a planter and walk away. The officer took the man back to the planter and asked why he’d left the can. The man told the officer he didn’t want another ticket for the offense. The officer wrote him a ticket for violating the city ordinance against consumption of alcohol in public places.
Jan. 17, Bridge Street Bistro, 111 Gulf Drive S., theft. Bradenton Beach police responded to a theft in progress and arrested a 49-year-old man who was stealing liquor. The restaurant owner told police the man was observed holding a bottle of Bacardi Gold rum before he jumped over a stairwell. The owner recovered the rum, valued at $35. A bottle of Wild Turkey bourbon, valued at $60, was retrieved from a bathroom. The man was trespassed, arrested for the theft and transported to Manatee County jail.
Jan. 21, 1100 block of Gulf Drive South, battery. Two BBPD officers responded to a domestic violence call where a woman, fearing more violence, had fled from a man. The woman said the two argued, the man pushed her and she fell to the floor. Police interviewed the man. He allegedly confessed and was arrested.

Holmes Beach
Jan. 23, 600 block of Baronet Lane, larceny/trespass. Holmes Beach police requested the state attorney arrest two women who live in the 600 block of Dundee Lane for taking two decorative stones valued at $300 from the backyard. One woman allegedly confessed to taking the stones to boost her property value.
