Anna Maria
• May 27, 100 block of Park Ave., theft. A television set and bed cover – total value of $400 – were reported stolen from a rental property.
• May 29, 400 block of North Bay Boulevard, alcohol. A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy found a man drinking beer in Bayfront Park. The deputy notified the man of the alcohol prohibition and dumped out a six-pack.

Bradenton Beach
• May 26, 400 block of 20th Place, burglary. The Bradenton Beach Police Department investigated burglaries to two vehicles parked outside a residence. The complainant said someone stole an iPad, pair of Nike sneakers and a prescription pad but left a flashlight, which was picked up as evidence.
• May 27, 2200 block of Avenue B., burglary. Someone removed a GPS device and about $100 in cash from a vehicle parked outside a residence.
• May 27, 1600 block of Gulf Drive South, property damage. The BBPD responded to the North Coquina Beach boat ramp where a van and trailer were in the water. The driver said he’d stopped and exited the van to splash his face with water when both the van and the trailer rolled down the ramp. A tow truck was called.
• May 31, 1300 block of Gulf Drive South, trespass. Several people who were climbing on the groins were given trespass notices.
• May 31, 800 block of Gulf Drive South, fight. BBPD responded to Cortez Beach, where a large group of males and females were gathered to watch a fight. Trespass notices were given. The report indicated that alcohol was involved.
• May 31, 2300 block of Avenue C, obstructing an officer without violence. The Bradenton Beach Police Department arrested a women for obstructing an officer as he attempted to write a traffic citation. The officer stopped the driver of a truck lacking a rear bumper and with the high-beams on. A passenger repeatedly got out of the truck to question the officer. She appeared “intoxicated and belligerent,” according to the report. The officer said she was free to leave the scene, but she allegedly became more aggressive. The officer cuffed the woman’s wrist, she struggled, and he threatened to use his pepper spray. She allegedly replied, “Go ahead, I’ve eaten peppers before.” She was sprayed, and taken into custody on a misdemeanor.

Cortez
• May 31, 4200 block of Cortez Road, burglary. The MCSO investigated a report of a report of a vehicle break-in. Several items were taken.

Holmes Beach
• May 28, 100 block of 29th Street, burglary. The Holmes Beach Police Department investigated a report that someone rummaged through a woman’s vehicle, but apparently didn’t take anything.
• May 28, 6600 block of Holmes Boulevard, theft. The HBPD received a report of a stolen rented bicycle from outside an apartment.
• May 29, 2500 block of Gulf Drive, grand theft of vehicle. HBPD arrested Kristina A. Kennedy for allegedly stealing a two-door Hyundai. The police report said Kennedy had access to the vehicle about two months ago and also had a key. The owner said the key should have been returned, and that Kennedy was not supposed to be driving her car.
• May 29, 500 block of 59th Street, burglary. A woman reported to HBPD that someone stole her company laptop from a vehicle parked outside her home.
