A Bradenton man arrested for boating under the influence near Jewfish Key was sentenced to 12 months probation.
Timothy Holt pleaded no contest Aug. 2 in 12th Circuit Court.
Judge Robert Farrance ordered the probation, including 50 hours of public service, allowing for payment in lieu of the work, and a boater’s safety class, which can be completed online.
The judge also impounded Holt’s vessel for 10 days.
Holt was arrested July 1 after Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers boarded his vessel for an equipment check.
According to online court records, Holt was assessed $2,290, of which $1,630 was paid as of Aug. 6.
