Ballots are being cast in the buildup to Election Day, when islanders get their say on who should take office — from the White House to the city hall.
When the close polls at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, islanders also will have cast their votes on six state constitutional amendments, a county tax-bond issue, commission seats in Holmes Beach and, in Bradenton Beach, two charter questions.
Early voting in the 2020 general election will continue 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. through Sunday, Nov. 1.
The nearest early-voting location to Anna Maria Island is the Manatee County Utilities Office, 4410 66th St. W., Bradenton.
On Election Day, polls will be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Anna Maria voters will cast ballots at Roser Memorial Community Church, 512 Pine Ave., Anna Maria.
Bradenton Beach voters will cast ballots at the old fire hall, 201 Second St. N.
Holmes Beach voters will cast ballots at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 248 S. Harbor Drive.
Additionally, a record number of people requested ballots by mail, which must be returned to the SOE by 7 p.m. Election Day.
Mail-in ballots can be dropped off at the supervisor of elections office 24/7 at 600 301 Blvd. W., Suite 108, Bradenton, as well as at polling locations during early voting and on Election Day.
