Will the little lights soon be twinkling?
The city of Anna Maria is looking for festive residents and businesses to participate in its fifth annual Holiday Lights Contest.
The contest encourages people to decorate their homes, boutiques and shops for the season.
The city began accepting applications for entry Nov. 30. The window to apply will close at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18.
Judges will tour the city Dec. 19 and determine winners for both the commercial and residential categories.
Awards will be presented Dec. 20.
Applications can be found on the city website, cityofannamaria.com, or at city hall, 10005 Gulf Drive.
Completed applications can be returned to city hall or mailed to the city at P.O. Box 779, Anna Maria, FL 34216.
There is no application fee.
