Island police reports

Streetlife is based on incident reports from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office and Bradenton Beach and Holmes Beach police departments.
Anna Maria
May 24, Anna Maria MCSO Substation, 307 Pine Ave., complaint. The complainant, who owns a pool company that services the area, went to the substation to report he was threatened by a client. The complainant wanted the incident documented.
Bradenton Beach
May 20, 700 block of Gulf Drive S., stolen vehicle. An MCSO deputy responded to a report of a stolen golf cart. The vehicle was later found a few streets away with the keys on the seat.
May 22, 200 Bridge St., Historic Bridge Street Pier, aggravated battery. A BBPD officer responded to the Historic Bridge Street Pier following a parking dispute in which a person allegedly hit and shattered a vehicle windshield and claimed they were struck by the vehicle. Officers found no evidence to support the claim.
May 22, 200 Gulf Drive N., Beach House, harassment. A person told police they were harassed through social media after not paying their restaurant bill.

Holmes Beach
May 21, 100 block of 31st Street, trespass. An HBPD officer responded to a report at a rental property of a trespasser who fled on foot. A Walgreens receipt left behind led to a review of security footage at the store.
May 24, 100 block of 43rd Street, alcohol/drugs/violating probation. An officer responded to reports of a juvenile seen smoking in a private parking lot and found a group of people, including a juvenile with an open alcohol bottle and a blunt. Multiple bottles of alcohol, tobacco products and a bag containing marijuana were found in a backpack. The officer arrested the juvenile. A 20-year-old man was found in possession of a liquor bottle and issued a court summons. And another 20-year-old was found in violation of probation. He was arrested and transported to the county jail.
May 24, 4300 block of Second Avenue, criminal mischief. A city code compliance officer found a plastic chain blocking a private lot was destroyed and multiple vehicles were parked there. An HBPD officer issued parking tickets for four vehicles in the lot.
