A number of veterans have contacted The Islander seeking information about the revisit-Korea program sponsored by the Korean War Veterans Association. The program helps groups of Korean War vets return to Korea on guided trips.
The Republic of South Korea government subsidizes the airfare, according to the KWVA website.
The KWVA website states interested veterans should register as early as possible, as prior trips have been booked to capacity. The trips are scheduled through 2014.
Warren Widehahn is the coordinator for the revisit-Korea program, while Tom Clawson is the revisit committee chair.
For more information, call Widehahn at 800-722-9501 or 703-590-1295.
Information on the revisit program also is available at kwva.org or miltours.com.
The mailing address for the revisit program is 13198 Center Pointe Way, No. 102, Woodbridge VA 22193-5285.
