A kitchen worker at the Gulf Drive Cafe is facing three charges of battery for allegedly burning his co-workers with kitchen equipment.
The Bradenton Beach Police Department is investigating the allegations, which led to the recent arrest of James Richardson.
The incidents allegedly took place in late February, and were reported to the BBPD about a week after.
The BBPD completed three incident reports based on the claims of three employees at the restaurant, 900 Gulf Drive N.
One co-worker told the BBPD that Richardson took a pizza pan, placed it in an oven to heat and then placed the hot pan on the victim’s upper left arm, causing a burn and leaving a scar.
A second co-worker said Richardson intentionally put a hot pan on the victim’s back and hand above the thumb, causing burns.
A third person alleged that Richardson tends to pick fights and burned a victim’s middle finger with a hot spatula used on the grill.
Richardson faces three counts of misdemeanor battery.
