A history display of Holmes Beach’s roots is set up in the city hall lobby. The display includes the city’s first commission minutes and surveyor notes from 1886. It is part of the city’s Founder’s Day celebration. A dedication ceremony and celebration will be held in the commission chambers at 9 a.m. Friday, April 15. Island residents are invited to share memories of days gone by. City hall is at 5801 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach.
