Anna Maria
• April 28, North Shore Drive, exposure. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a man who exposed himself to motorists traveling on North Shore Drive toward Pine Avenue.
• April 28, 200 block of Lake View Drive, abandoned vessel. A resident called the MCSO after finding a small gray boat near his dock. After failing to locate a current owner, the boat was tied up until the city could dispose of the vessel.
• April 29, 100 block of South Bay Boulevard, theft. The MCSO responded to the Anna Maria City Pier, where someone stole a table from the City Pier Restaurant.
• May 1, 10000 block of Gulf Drive, suspicious circumstance. A person called from Bortell’s Lounge to report finding another person lying face down on the beach. The MCSO, along with Holmes Beach police and paramedics, searched the beach, but did not find a person. The report stated the caller appeared to be intoxicated.

Bradenton Beach
• April 30, 200 block of First Street North, battery. The Bradenton Beach Police Department arrested a 29-year-old Winter Haven man for punching another man in the face following a verbal argument over an ashtray. The report stated the fight was “alcohol-related.”

Cortez
• May 2, 10300 block of Cortez Road, burglary. The MCSO responded to reports of 18 auto burglaries in a mobile home park. Ten complainants filed reports.
Cortez is policed by the MCSO.
Holmes Beach
• April 27, 4000 Manatee Avenue, auto burglary. The complainant told the Holmes Beach Police Department that someone stole her purse from the trunk of her auto. The purse contained a gas card, about $80, credit and insurance cards, a checkbook and a driver’s license.
• April 30, 200 block of 76th Street, theft. The complainant told HBPD that he arrived to a work site, where he saw someone remove scrap metal from the site to her vehicle. An air conditioning unit valued at $300 was missing.
• April 30, 4000 block of Manatee Avenue, theft. HBPD investigated the theft of a wallet from Manatee Public Beach. The complainant told police he went for a swim, leaving his possessions with a friend, who subsequently went for a walk and left the wallet — which contained about $60 — on the beach.
• May 2, 3900 East Bay Drive, shoplifting. The HBPD responded to a report of a shoplifting incident at the Publix Super Market. A customer witnessed the alleged theft of a fishing pole and told store employees, who found the suspect in the nearby CVS.
• May 3, 3200 block of East Bay Drive, theft. HBPD responded to Zegway on the Bay, which reported the theft of about $350 in petty cash.
• May 3, White Avenue beach access, public drinking. HBPD responded to a report that some young adults were drinking alcohol on the beach, which is prohibited. An officer issued trespass warnings.
• May 4, 84th Street and Marina Drive, suspicious persons. HBPD responded to a call about a suspicious person. Officers later found two men going door-to-door offering estimates on hurricane doors and windows. The men were told about a city ordinance against solicitation and instructed to leave.
